I met the mother when she had come in for a conference about her son and she expressed her concerns about the language barrier she and he both struggle with and how their living situation is something they all really struggle with. In addition, her and her oldest son really need glasses and suffer from serious headaches due to this.
They were a family Communities In Schools of Kent were able to support over the holidays and very generously an optometrist in the area donated free fitting, lenses and frames to the family. Now the mother and oldest son are rid of headaches and through El Centro Rendu she is connected to more work. Her youngest son has also been excelled in his Language Arts and Social Studies classes lately and his teachers are very proud of him!
