Joining the Board of Directors in 2015, Michelle brings over 10 years of experience in education and the social sector, and is currently the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement at Renton Technical College (RTC) where she oversees: grant development, communications and marketing, institutional research and assessment, accreditation, strategic and operational planning, legislative relations, and the Title III grant. She holds a master’s degree in organizational communication and management from the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, and is currently a student in Northeastern University’s Doctorate of Education program.
Joining the Board of Directors in 2016, Karen has served as a Kent School District Board Director since 2010. She is the proud CIS mentor of several KSD students.
Charter member of Communities In Schools of Kent, Merina Hanson is the Human Services Manager at the City of Kent. She has previously served as the Secretary to the Board of Directors.
A charter member of the Communities In Schools of Kent Board of Directors, Mike Heinisch is the Executive Director of Kent Youth and Family Services and currently serving as the Board of Directors Treasurer.
Joining the Board of Directors in 2016, Daman works for the Kent School District, as the Director of Human Resources.
Joining the Board of Directors in 2011, Roberta Ohno retired from ITEC America in 2010. She has served as the Resource Development Committee for three years and is currently serving as the Secretary of the Board of Directors.
Joining the Board of Directors in 2004, Tom retired from Windermere in 2014. He has previously served as the President from 2009 to 2013 and has been an active mentor for many years.
Joining the Board of Directors in August 2014, Brannon is an eighteen-year veteran at Microsoft, where he is currently a Release Manager for 343 Studios.
